Robert Lightford has over 20 years of law enforcement and corporate security experience.  He is a committed husband, father, grand father and  leader; he has retained a reputation for honesty, integrity, and loyalty.

Mr. Lightford began his law enforcement career as a Deputy Town Marshal for Rocky Ripple Police Department in 1994.  He attended the Indiana Law Enforcement Pre- Basic Academy in 1995. During his tenure with the Rocky Ripple Police Department, he gathered experience in the divisions of Gang Intelligence, Narcotics Investigations, K9 Handling and Training, Administration and Supervision.

Mr. Lightford served as team leader for a federal housing project task force that cleaned up housing projects throughout Indianapolis and Marion County.  In 1997, he received The Distinguished Service Award for saving the lives of two City of Lawrence Police officers.  He also received the same award in 1998 for apprehending and aiding in the conviction of three serial burglary suspects.

In 2000, Robert Lightford attended the Marion County Sheriff Department Training Academy and became a Special Deputy Sheriff.  He was assigned to The Washington Township Municipal School District as a supervising patrol officer.  Throughout his years in law enforcement, he advanced through the ranks of the various Law Enforcement offices, and received numerous citations and commendations.

Mr. Lightford’s credentials include; Armeror certification from Glock Inc., NRA certifications in Fire Arm Training and Instruction, Gang Identification, Narcotics Interdiction, Interrogation Techniques, Crises Management, Defensive Tactics and certification as a Taser Instructor thru Taser International.  Education is also a passion for him.  When not protecting and serving, he pursues his education having attended Oglethorpe University with a concentration in history, and is currently attending American Intercontinental University with a Major in Criminal Justice and a minor in Forensic Science.

Concurrently with his years in Law Enforcement, he owned and operated The Crime Prevention Task Force, a private investigation and security company licensed in Indiana. He continues to operate Special Task Force Protection Agency LLC a corporate security and Investigation Company with offices in Georgia, Alabama, and Indiana.

 Robert Lightford remains devoted to making contributions in both public service and community involvement projects.
